**Job summary**:
We are recruiting for an outstanding HEO Lead Secretariat - Executive Team and Central Operations to join the Governance and Central Secretariat Unit, in the Executive Team and Central Operations division. In this role you will be responsible for at least two of the department’s key executive governance committees, with significant access to senior staff and an overview of corporate governance across MHCLG.

**Job description**:
**Executive Team & People Lead**

In this role you will be responsible for the operation of the department’s Executive Team and People and Operations Sub-Committee. You will lead on supporting these committees to make decisions about the department’s key policy, people and delivery priorities. You will also be responsible for both of the department’s shadow committees - that provide staff at delegated grades the opportunity to scrutinise and feedback on the decision making of these forums.

**Delivery & Finance Lead**

In this role you will be responsible for the operation of the department’s Delivery and Finance Sub-Committees, as well as the Executive Team’s quarterly stocktake process. You will lead on the governance of the department’s approach to fiscal events, such as spending reviews, and the business planning process.

**Person specification**:

- To be successful in this role, you will need excellent interpersonal and writing skills, a good eye for detail, a flexible approach and excellent IT skills. You will also need a strong track record in providing high quality administrative support, including minuting senior meetings, be highly organised, have the confidence to work with senior stakeholders and act calmly under pressure.**Benefits**:
