**Job summary**:
The primary purpose of the role is to ensure that young people who are accessing a Community Child and Adolescent Mental Health Team receive the highest possible standard of care.

The post holder will:
Provide assessment, treatment, consultation and work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary group of professionals to support the recovery of Young People referred to the CAMHS Team for the East of the county.

Contribute to the development of systems and processes that will support and enhance the ongoing care of young people referred to the service.

Ensure that families and carers of patients referred to the service are properly supported, informed and engaged.

Acting as a key member of the multi-disciplinary team, the post holder will provide assessment, psychosocial, evidence based interventions using a collaborative, recovery approach and will be skilled at positive risk management.

The post holder will contribute to the clinical leadership of the team, providing supervision for other team members, as agreed with the Team Manager, and participate in team and service development and evaluation. Liaison with a wide range of agencies is central to the role.

Be willing to undertake training as required to enhance your own skills.

The post holder must hold a full Driving licence and have permanent access to own transport and have appropriate insurance.

**Main duties, tasks & skills required**:
CAMHS East is a rapidly evolving team within the CAMHS network that works with young people who are suffering from a range of mental illnesses that have a greater impact on their lives. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team that is made up of consultant psychiatrists and specialist doctors; psychologists and therapists; Nurses; Occupational Therapists; Social workers and support workers.

You will hold a caseload of young people who will be on their recovery journey. You will need to have the ability to liaise with people within the young persons network such as family members as well as professionals. You will also need to be able to liaise effectively with professionals within the wider CAMHS network as well as your colleagues. Although the team is set up to be very supportive there is a need for you to make well thought out decisions to support the young person and their network.
