An exciting opportunity for a professional events administrator, who is a highly organised individual with excellent customer service and communication skills to join our high-profile events team.
You will be joining the City of London Corporation, an organisation committed to supporting and promoting the City as the world’s leading finance centre and promoter of the rule of law.
The Mansion House events team is responsible for supporting the delivery of high-profile external commercial events, large charity fundraisers and major keynote addresses and seminars. In addition, are responsible for planning and delivery of an annual Mayoral events programme to meet strategic objectives and share messages through the Mayoralty, the Shrievalty and wider Corporation business. This includes State banquets, business dinners and receptions.
As the Commercial Events Co-ordinator you will support the commercial use of Mansion House. High quality written and oral communication skills is essential. The ability and strength as a team player and interpersonal skills. Excellent computer literacy, including use of a CRM database system. Knowledge of new technology and market trends would be a significant advantage. Marketing and promotional skills, such as social media, website develop would also be useful.
The post holder will represent the events team at external meetings and events, liaising with internal and external contacts at all levels. An ability to communicate effectively in person and on paper is an essential part of this role.
**Main Responsibilities**:
- Support the management of Mansion House booking enquiries via the events inbox and CRM diary system, maximising commercial use of the venue.
- Support the implementation of improvements to the operation to increase efficiency and capitalise on bookings.
- Input into the CRM diary system to ensure function sheets and production of reports relating to venue income and hire charges and improvements.
- Support the Commercial Events Manager as required.
**Desirable Experience**:
- Experience of working in a private office or dealing with high profile people.
- Database systems and financial budgeting.
