Business Support Officer

About the Role
We are seeking an organised, proactive, and commercially minded Business Support Manager to join our growing hospitality group. With over five busy sites, this role is essential in supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the business, enhancing operational efficiency, and ensuring our teams deliver exceptional guest experiences.
The Business Support Manager acts as a central point of coordination across all venues, providing administrative, operational, and strategic support to help our managers and teams perform at their best.
Key ResponsibilitiesOperational Support
- Work closely with General Managers to streamline daily operations across all sites.
- Support venue teams with systems, processes, and compliance requirements.
- Assist with rota reviews, labour management, and ensuring effective staffing levels.
- Monitor and report on operational KPIs, highlighting areas for improvement.
Administrative & Business Support
- Maintain accurate documentation, policies, and internal communication tools.
- Support with supplier management, including price checks, deliveries, and queries.
- Assist with onboarding processes, including new starter paperwork and training compliance.
- Manage business-wide calendars, key deadlines, and internal updates.
Financial & Commercial Support
- Provide weekly reporting on revenue, labour, stock, and other performance metrics.
- Assist with stock management processes, including coordinating stock takes and analysing results.
- Support financial auditing and compliance checks across all venues.
- Work with site managers to identify cost-saving opportunities and efficiency improvements.
People & HR Coordination
- Support HR processes including absence management, return-to-work documentation, and training matrix tracking.
- Coordinate internal communication to ensure teams across all sites remain engaged and informed.
- Provide guidance to managers on operational HR issues within your remit.
Project & Systems Management
- Assist in rolling out new systems, processes, and business initiatives across sites.
- Lead or support projects such as menu launches, events, refurbishments, or brand updates.
- Ensure consistent standards and best practices are maintained across all venues.
Key Skills & Attributes
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Confident communicator able to work effectively with managers, suppliers, and senior leaders.
- Excellent attention to detail and a proactive problem-solver.
- Good understanding of hospitality operations and systems (EPOS, rota systems, stock software, etc.).
- Competent with Microsoft Office or Google Workspace.
- Ability to travel between sites as required.
Experience
- Previous experience in hospitality operations or a multi-site support role is essential.
- Experience working with senior leadership teams and supporting venue management.
- Strong understanding of operational compliance, labour management, and hospitality processes.
