We are seeking a highly organized and people-focused Manager to lead a cross-functional marketing team in Colombia. This team will include resources across digital marketing, creative, analytics, operations, and general marketing functions. The role will report to the Corporate Marketing Operations Leadership and work in close collaboration with regional and division marketing leadership to ensure alignment with organizational goals and strategies.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day operations of a diverse marketing team, fostering collaboration across functions, and driving impactful marketing initiatives. This role requires a passion for enabling teams to deliver their best work while maintaining a strategic focus on business objectives.
How you'll make an impact
Leadership & Team Management
- Lead, support, and mentor a cross-functional team including digital marketers, creative designers, analysts, marketing operations specialists, and general marketing professionals.
- Conduct regular one-on-one meetings and performance reviews to encourage development, engagement, and alignment with team goals.
- Foster a collaborative and inclusive team culture that promotes innovation and high performance.
Talent Acquisition & Development
- Collaborate with corporate marketing team leads and the talent acquisition team to identify resource needs, open new roles, review candidates, and conduct initial interviews.
- Oversee the onboarding of new team members, ensuring a seamless integration into the team and alignment with organizational values.
- Continuously evaluate and document onboarding, training, and technical skills, identifying areas for improvement and growth opportunities.
Operational Oversight
- Manage day-to-day operations of the marketing team, including work schedules, collaborating with functional team leads for time-off requests and resource allocation to ensure optimal productivity.
- Monitor and assess team and individual performance against goals/KPIs, identifying opportunities for improvement and addressing challenges proactively.
- Provide regular feedback to team members and leads to support career growth and skill development.
Strategic Collaboration
- Partner with global marketing leadership to align local team efforts with global workflows, processes, and strategic priorities.
- Communicate challenges, skill gaps, and quality control issues to leadership to optimize team performance and enhance output.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure alignment with business objectives and delivery of measurable results.
Compliance & Best Practices
- Maintain a current understanding of global marketing processes, workflows, SLAs, and Gallagher brand guidelines to help ensure quality and consistency in deliverables.
- Ensure compliance with local HR and operational practices, processes, and requirements.
About you
- Minimum of 5 years of experience managing cross-functional marketing teams, including digital, creative, analytics, and operations resources.
- Proven ability to lead and inspire diverse teams to achieve business objectives.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across functions and geographies.
- A team player who works collaboratively and respectfully with both local and global leadership.
- Empathetic leadership style with a solution-oriented mindset and strong mentorship skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and drive results in a fast-paced environment.
