We're excited to be recruiting for a Legal Secretary to join a prestigious international law firm based in London with a truly global footprint. This role provides an opportunity to support a talented team of lawyers in a fast-paced environment within a firm renowned for advising major corporations, financial institutions, and investment fund managers across multiple key jurisdictions worldwide.

If you're proactive, highly organised, and thrive in a demanding legal setting, this could be the perfect fit. As a Legal Secretary, you'll provide comprehensive secretarial support and be an essential part of a collaborative team where your skills and initiative will be valued from day one.

This Legal Secretary role is hands-on, document-focused, and billing-heavy (40%), supporting partners closely with more of a paralegal approach rather than traditional PA duties.

Location:
Liverpool Street, London (Hybrid working - 3 days per week in the office)

Contract Type:
Full-time, Monday to Friday

Salary:
up to £45,000 DOE

Key responsibilities:

  • Provide full legal secretarial support, including document drafting and editing
  • Manage diaries, travel arrangements, and meeting coordination
  • Open, maintain, and archive legal matters and client files
  • Liaise professionally with clients and internal teams
  • Assist with billing processes, including invoice drafting
  • Collaborate with the wider secretarial team to ensure seamless support and cover during absences

What we're looking for:

  • Proven secretarial experience; at least 4+ years in a City or US law firm
  • Experience in Corporate practice is essential
  • Strong copy typing skills (60wpm)
  • Familiarity with UK corporate legislation preferred
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • Confident, proactive, and able to manage competing priorities effectively
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office with a keen interest in developing IT skills
  • Flexible with a positive outlook; happy to support wider teams with an array of duties outside the JD
