This is an exciting opportunity to join St Albans City Centre BID as our
Communications and Marketing Manager

,

supporting the BID Manager and working closely with our Business Engagement Lead.

You will play a key role in delivering our strategy, by expertly leading City Centre businesses and St Albans marketing and promotions to high value, maintaining strong relationships with Stakeholders and City Centre Businesses who are our closest and most important supporters.

Creating and implementing communications and marketing strategies to maximise vital income for the City Centre Businesses and generate frequent and repeat visits to St Albans.

The role requires skills in multiple disciplines across several key communications and marketing platforms, from marketing and promotion, to public relations. The role deals with business and visitor attraction liaison, as well as managing contracted content providers. The applicant must be able to plan and deliver work under pressure and to deadlines, coordinate multiple communication platforms, create content and use initiative to ensure BID Businesses and St Albans achieves frequent attention and customer visits.  

The key skills required for the role are organisational, analytical, communication, productivity and attention to detail for high quality communications in marketing and PR.

The successful applicant will work a

37.5 hour week

, and will include occasional weekends and evenings.

We are offering a salary scale of

£35,000 to £38,000

per annum depending on experience and skills,  plus 28 days holiday including bank holidays.

This new role will be available for an immediate start in January 2026.
