The Role
We are seeking a well-rounded
Chief of Staff
to act as the right-hand partner to the
Operations Director
. This is a pivotal role that blends strategic coordination, operational follow-through, and leadership support across a dynamic and fast-moving environment.
You'll be a key enabler for the Operations Director, ensuring clarity, alignment, and execution across multiple businesses and projects. The role will require exceptional organisational and communication skills, commercial awareness, and the ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary point of contact between the Operations Director and the wider business network.
- Support in the coordination and follow-up of leadership and operational meetings; capturing actions, driving accountability, and ensuring progress against priorities.
- Prepare briefings, reports, and presentations to support operational and strategic decision-making.
- Partner with site and business leaders to surface key issues, risks, and opportunities across the portfolio.
- Drive the cadence of operations; ensuring critical initiatives, KPIs, and transformation projects are on track.
- Provide analytical and project management support for business improvement and integration activities.
- Represent the Operations Director in meetings and forums as appropriate.
- Support internal communication, alignment, and engagement across the group's operational teams.

Experience & Attributes
- Experience in an operations, strategy, or Chief of Staff role within logistics, transport, private equity, or multi-site industrial environments.
- Strong project management and stakeholder coordination skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Highly analytical, with the ability to translate data into actionable insight.
- Comfortable operating with discretion and handling sensitive information.
- Resilient, adaptable, and able to operate effectively in a growing and evolving business.
