Senior Business Analyst

London (Hybrid) | Competitive base salary + Package, Permanent

McCabe and Barton are hiring for a leading financial services client who are seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst to join its Business Transformation team. This is a hybrid position based in London, focused on delivering major change initiatives within a regulated Financial services environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage with stakeholders to define and document requirements for new systems and enhancements, ensuring alignment with business vision and standards.
  • Document process flows, functional and non-functional requirements using industry-standard techniques.
  • Apply data analysis techniques to support business scenarios and reporting needs.
  • Support user acceptance testing and defect triage to prioritise issues effectively.
  • Participate in the full project lifecycle from analysis through to testing and maintenance, ensuring optimal operational performance.
  • Act as liaison between end-users, solution architects, developers, third-party suppliers and testers.
  • Support the development of clear business cases for new initiatives and funding requests.
  • Champion analyst best practices and contribute to continuous improvement of working methods.
  • Provide guidance to other Business Analysts, conduct peer reviews and maintain high requirement standards.
  • Collaborate with Business Analyst colleagues to identify cross-project dependencies and share knowledge.
  • Identify opportunities to deliver business value through process improvements and system development.
  • Support regulatory compliance, audit and safety requirements as directed.

Essential Requirements:

  • Proven experience in business analysis, system implementations, change management, and facilitation.
  • Strong analytical and abstract reasoning skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex information clearly.
  • Experience managing third-party suppliers and driving multiple stakeholders to deliver quality outcomes.
  • Ability to meet fixed deadlines and manage varied workloads effectively.
  • Knowledge of industry-standard change management approaches.
  • Collaborative team player who shares knowledge and best practices with peers.

Desirable:

  • Experience in lending, banking or financial services with familiarity of supporting systems.
