Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to assist children with their daily needs and development. The successful candidate will work closely with families, care teams, and educational professionals to provide a nurturing environment that promotes growth and well-being. Responsibilities

  • Provide personalised support to children with diverse needs, ensuring their safety and comfort at all times.
  • Assist in implementing and following individualised care plans tailored to each child's specific requirements.
  • Support children during daily activities, including play, learning, and personal care routines.
  • Foster effective communication with children, families, and team members to ensure consistent care delivery.
  • Support children with mobility or behavioural challenges by employing appropriate techniques and strategies.
  • Maintain a clean, organised environment that promotes safety and hygiene standards.
  • Assist with transportation as required, including driving children to appointments or activities in accordance with organisational policies.
  • Record observations and progress notes accurately to inform ongoing support strategies.

Experience

  • Experience working with children, particularly in childcare or support roles, is highly desirable.
  • Prior experience in developing or following care plans is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with basic IT systems for record keeping and communication purposes is preferred.
  • Good communication skills are essential for liaising effectively with children, families, and colleagues.
  • Driving experience or possession of a valid driving licence will be considered an asset but is not mandatory. This role offers an enriching environment for those committed to supporting children's development through compassionate care and professional dedication.

. Essential; Reliability and flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and sleep-ins.
