Pay: £12.50 – £14.00 per hour (dependent on qualifications and experience)

Sleep-ins: £50 per night

Shift Pattern: Day Shifts, 8:00am – 8:30pm

Key Responsibilities

As a Residential Support Worker, you will:

• Provide emotional, practical and therapeutic support to children and young people
• Build safe, consistent and professional relationships
• Support daily routines including meals, activities, appointments and education
• Promote independence and essential life skills
• Maintain strong safeguarding practice and follow behaviour support plans
• Complete accurate, Ofsted-compliant records and reports
• Work effectively with colleagues, families and external professionals
• Encourage positive engagement, inclusion and community participation

What We're Looking For

Essential:

• Experience supporting children or young people (residential care, social care, SEN, youth work, education or similar)
• Strong communication, teamwork and organisational skills
• Ability to stay calm, resilient and consistent during challenging situations
• Understanding of safeguarding, child development and professional boundaries
• Flexibility to work full-time day shifts, including some weekends

Desirable:

• Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
• First Aid training
• Experience supporting young people with emotional or behavioural needs
• Full UK driving licence
