About Us

Barge East is one of London's most exciting independent restaurants – a multi award-winning dining destination aboard a 128-year-old Dutch barge, moored in the heart of Hackney Wick. The Role

We're looking for a talented Chef de Partie to join our passionate, tight-knit kitchen team. You'll be responsible for running your own section, maintaining high standards, and contributing to a creative and collaborative kitchen culture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and present consistently high-quality dishes across your section
  • Maintain cleanliness, organisation, and efficiency in your area
  • Contribute to new menu ideas and seasonal dish development
  • Support senior chefs and mentor junior members of the brigade
  • Uphold food safety and kitchen hygiene standards

What We're Looking For

  • Previous CDP experience in a high-quality kitchen (or a strong Commis ready to step up)
  • A genuine passion for seasonal cooking and sustainable produce
  • Calm, organised, and driven to deliver excellence during busy services
  • A collaborative spirit and positive team energy
  • An appreciation for modern British cuisine and creative presentation
