Our IP opens the door to product manufacture far beyond coffee, including the low/no alcohol, sports nutritional and meal replacement markets, to name a few.

CRL Foods is looking to add an Assistant Technical Manager to the team to support the company in its next stage of growth. Reporting into the Technical Manager, the main focuses will be enhancing existing processes, ensuring compliance with procedures and building continuous improvement throughout the business.

Purpose of the QA Operative Role

The QA Operative is a key member of the Quality Assurance function, ensuring all products meet stringent quality standards and comply with industry and customer regulations. The role involves addressing quality issues and driving continuous improvement initiatives to support the company's commitment to excellence. The role requires a substantial amount of time spend in the factory to enforce these standards.

The QA Operative reports directly into the QA Manager.

· Can work a continental shift pattern (2 days 2 nights) with a shift allowance of £1800 on top of your Salary

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Responsible:

o Overall compliance with QMS together with BRC standards, other key certification bodies and customer standards.

o Site GMP day to day compliance

o Live paperwork checks

o Cycle assessments of operators in compliance with SOPs

o Hygiene and line clearance sign-off

o Training and development of team members

o Issuing and making amendments to controlled documents

o Driving standards across the business

o Supporting Operations Management / Supervisors

· Deputise:

o Calibration (Lead: QA Engineer)

o Customer labelling requirements (Lead: QA Manager)

o Site GMP audits (Lead: QA Manager)

o Glass and plastics audits (Lead: QA Manager)

o Swabbing (Lead: QA Manager)

o Hygiene audits (Lead: QA Manager)

· Support/Assist:

o HACCP, VACCP and TACCP

o Risk assessments

o Sampling of products / shelf life, taste panels and incubation testing

o Product on hold reviews

o Recall and withdrawal scenarios

o Third party audits and closure of non-conformances

o Traceability audits

o Supplier approval

o Other internal audits as required

o Site environmental

o Product micro performance

o CCP validations

o Root cause and corrective actions

o Allergen management
