What You'll Do

As a Residential Childcare Worker, you will play a key role in supporting young people and helping them achieve positive outcomes. Responsibilities include:

  • Fostering a welcoming, supportive, and safe environment for children and young people.
  • Working closely with children to encourage positive growth, independence, and confidence.
  • Supporting day-to-day routines, including life skills, education, recreational activities, and personal care.
  • Ensuring children's voices are heard and respected, keeping their best interests at the heart of all care.
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues, managers, and multi-agency professionals to deliver person-centred, therapeutic care.
