Team Leader – Residential Children's Home

Location: Altrincham

Hourly Rate: £13.72 – £14.82

Shift Pattern: 2 on / 4 off

Must hold NVQ Level 3 in Residential Childcare

About the Role:

As Team Leader, you will help guide and support a team of residential support workers, ensuring high standards of care and support are consistently delivered. You'll be a role model for best practice, championing the needs of the children and helping to create a warm, stable environment where they feel safe, valued, and able to thrive.

What You'll Do:

  • Lead and support the care team during shifts, ensuring consistent and child-focused care
  • Contribute to care planning and risk assessments in line with individual needs
  • Promote a nurturing, therapeutic approach to working with children with complex needs
  • Support with day-to-day routines, activities, and life skills development
  • Ensure safeguarding policies and procedures are followed at all times
  • Work closely with management to help shape the culture and standards of the new home

Requirements:

  • NVQ Level 3 in Residential Childcare (or equivalent – essential)
  • Experience working in a residential setting with children and young people
  • A calm, resilient, and empathetic approach to care
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
  • Passion for making a genuine difference in children's lives
