Location: Blackburn, UK (Hybrid – 3 days office / 2 days remote)

Our operations extend through Essential Distribution, our export division supplying pharmaceutical and healthcare products to international markets. We work closely with Ministries of Health and distributors across MENA and Africa, helping strengthen global healthcare access.


Role Overview

We're looking for a Procurement Specialist to join our growing team in Blackburn

You'll oversee the end-to-end procurement process — managing suppliers, negotiating contracts, and ensuring cost-effective, compliant sourcing across our UK and export operations.

Your day will include:

Managing and tracking purchase orders from start to finish

Conducting supplier evaluations and building strong vendor partnerships

Leading price and contract negotiations to secure the best deals

Analyzing procurement data to improve decision-making

Collaborating with internal and export teams to meet goals

Ensuring full compliance and risk control in all procurement activity


What We're Looking For

Proven experience managing Purchase Orders and procurement processes

Skilled in Supplier Evaluation and vendor management

Strong Contract Negotiation and cost-saving expertise

Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational abilities

Background in Procurement best practices

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field (preferred)

Familiarity with the healthcare or pharmaceutical industry is an advantage
