Job Overview

We are seeking a highly organised and dedicated Medications Co-ordinator to join our team. This is a vital role ensuring the safe, efficient, and compliant management of medications within our service.

Responsibilities

  • Order medications in line with the monthly medication cycle, including interim prescriptions when required.
  • Collect medications from the pharmacy in accordance with company policy and procedures.
  • Liaise effectively with pharmacists, GP surgeries, and other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity and accuracy of medication supplies.
  • Manage the monthly medication changeover, ensuring all medication is checked, recorded, and stored correctly for the upcoming cycle.
  • Administer medications when required, following relevant training and company protocols.
  • Complete regular MAR chart audits and cream chart audits, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and prompt resolution of discrepancies

This role requires excellent organisational skills, strong communication abilities, and the capacity to handle sensitive situations with professionalism. The position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where attention to detail is highly valued.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in data entry, communication skills, and analysis within a healthcare or similar setting.
  • Excellent phone etiquette and interpersonal skills to interact professionally with diverse patient populations.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team while demonstrating empathy and professionalism.
  • Previous experience in health care is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • A recognised qualification in first aid or basic medical assistance is preferred but not essential. This role offers an engaging environment for individuals committed to delivering high-quality patient care while developing their professional skills within the healthcare sector.
  • A full UK drivers licence is preferred but not mandatory.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £12.45-£14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week
