Overview
We have an exciting opportunity for a Wedding Coordinator at Grangefields with a proposed start date of January 2026.
Grangefields Barn is a stunning wedding venue set in the beautiful surrounding countryside of Derbyshire and is run by Cripps Barn Group ), an established company with many years' experience in running wedding venues throughout the UK. This is a fixed term 1.5 year contract with the potential for extension to a permanent contract for the right candidate.
Job Role
The purpose of this job is to oversee the whole wedding experience from the initial planning through to the management of the teams on the day itself to ensure we exceed customer expectations at every step. This is a hands-on, operational role requiring on site presence and on the day wedding coordination to ensure the day runs smoothly from the morning set up to the food and beverage delivery.
The job role also incorporates admin support including responses to customer queries through our customer notes system as well as hosting viewings to showcase our beautiful venue to prospective couples.
Responsibilities
- Oversee aspects of the venue operations alongside the Operations Teams, including front-of-house and back-of-house activities.
- Ensure on-going success as a venue of choice.
- Demonstrate excellent levels of customer service at every stage of the process from start to finish to deliver an exceptional experience.
- Manage the enquiry process in the 'Cripps style', ensuring all emails, phone calls and admin are undertaken in a timely manner.
- Ensure all couples are greeted warmly, shown around the venue and have the opportunity to talk to someone knowledgeable about our offering.
- Manage and motivate the front of house teams and work closely with our kitchen team, ensuring effective teamwork and communication.
- Be responsible for the environment and facilities ensuring they are in line with customer expectation and are in excellent working order.
- Foster a positive working environment that encourages team collaboration and development.
Requirements
- Proven experience within the hospitality sector in wedding management is preferred
- Strong knowledge of food and beverage practices.
- Excellent team management skills with the ability to motivate and inspire staff.
- Exceptional organisational skills with attention to detail in all aspects of operations.
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with employees and customers alike.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including regular evening and weekend working.
