Overview

We have an exciting opportunity for a Front of House Wedding Manager at Grangefields Wedding venue to assist the Operations Team with the day to day running of the business, with a proposed start date of January 2026.

Grangefields Barn is a stunning wedding venue set in the beautiful surrounding countryside of Derbyshire and is run by Cripps Barn Group ), an established company with many years' experience in running wedding venues throughout the UK.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the team in the venue operations, ensuring all front of house and back of house activities are delivered to the required standard
  • Ensure on-going success of the barn as a venue of choice
  • Demonstrate excellent levels of customer service at every stage of the process from start to finish to deliver an exceptional experience
  • Monitor viewings, sales and performance of the Barn against targets set and drive conversion rates
  • Manage and motivate the casual operation teams, ensuring effective teamwork and communication
  • Be responsible for casual staff rostering
  • Assist in front of house training to deliver exceptional standards
  • Play an active part in the delivery of weddings and events, demonstrating hands-on operational experience and be able to trouble-shoot when required
  • Help customers plan and specify choices over their wedding and event
  • Be responsible for the environment and facilities ensuring they are in line with customer expectation and are in excellent working order
  • Promote and drive brand awareness, reputation and commercial viability
  • Foster a positive working environment that encourages team collaboration and development.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a managerial role within the hospitality sector, especially weddings, is essential.
  • Strong knowledge of food and beverage practices.
  • Excellent team management skills with the ability to motivate and inspire staff.
  • Exceptional organisational skills with attention to detail in all aspects of operations.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with employees and customers alike.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including regular evening and weekend working.
