We are a reputable and growing law firm based in the heart of Manchester, committed to providing expert legal services with a client-focused approach. Due to continued growth in our Housing Disrepair department, we are seeking an experienced and motivated Housing Disrepair Paralegal to join our dedicated team.

The Role

As a Housing Disrepair Paralegal, you will be responsible for managing your own caseload from inception to settlement, assisting solicitors, and ensuring high standards of client care throughout.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handling a caseload of pre-litigated and litigated housing disrepair matters
  • Drafting legal documents, letters of claim, witness statements, and court bundles
  • Liaising with clients, landlords, experts, and counsel
  • Conducting research and supporting solicitors on complex cases
  • Maintaining accurate case records and updating case management systems

Requirements:

  • Minimum 1–2 years' experience in housing disrepair or a similar civil litigation role
  • Strong knowledge of the Housing Act and relevant disrepair protocols
  • Ability to manage a busy caseload with minimal supervision
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with legal case management systems
