Key Duties

  • Work with Internal Communications and Digital Communications to take responsibility for delivering communications about the university's Cyber Programme, in support of the university's internal communications strategy and in accordance with its communications and engagement approach.

Person Specification

Essential Criteria

Qualifications and Education

  • Degree/NVQ6 or equivalent professional membership/experience

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • Substantial experience of working within a communications role, with specialist and recent experience of producing digital communications content and assets (including broad knowledge of writing for online platforms, content management systems, and the user experience).
  • Able to demonstrate professional knowledge of communications and digital content production, enabling them to give advice and guidance to internal and external customers
  • Proven experience of writing in significant daily volume, engaging and accurate copy to short deadlines for use in digital, print and video communications for a range of audiences

Customer Service, Communication and Team Working

  • Ability to communicate conceptually detailed, complex and technical information effectively and professionally with a wide range of people
  • Evidence of ability to explore customers' needs and adapt to ensure a quality service is delivered

Planning, Analysis and Problem solving

  • Evidence of ability to solve expansive problems using initiative and creativity; identify and propose both practical and innovative solutions
  • Evidence of demonstrable knowledge of key advances within communications and digital content production
  • Evidence of ability to work unsupervised to deadlines, planning and setting priorities for own work and monitoring progress.
