General Manager – Golf Operations

• Marland Golf Course, Rochdale
• Stanley Park Golf Course, Blackpool

The role

Operational Leadership

• Oversee all daily operations across Heaton Park, Marland and Stanley Park Golf Course.
• Implement and maintain efficient operational procedures and service standards.
• Manage cross-site coordination between golf operations, driving ranges, bars, and retail outlets.
• Ensure exceptional presentation, safety, and guest experience at all times.
• Build strong supplier and partner relationships to support smooth operations.

Sales, Marketing & Events

• Lead marketing campaigns and community initiatives to promote both venues.
• Collaborate with Link Golf UK's marketing team to deliver innovative promotions and branding consistency.
• Drive participation through events, tournaments, and social activities.
• Build partnerships with local organisations, schools, and corporate clients.

Team Management

• Recruit, train, and lead staff across both venues, fostering a positive and motivated culture.
• Develop clear performance goals and provide ongoing support and development.
• Coordinate team resources across sites for operational efficiency.
• Lead by example with a strong customer-first approach.

Customer Experience & Membership

• Act as a visible and approachable leader for all guests.
• Ensure customer feedback is proactively addressed to maintain high satisfaction.
• Promote Link Golf UK's values through a welcoming and community-focused environment.

Facilities & Compliance

• Ensure each course and clubhouses meet presentation and safety standards.
• Oversee maintenance schedules and liaise with contractors.
• Maintain full compliance with health & safety, licensing, and environmental regulations.

What we're looking for

Skills & Qualifications

• Proven experience in golf club, leisure, or hospitality management.
• Strong leadership and people management abilities.
• Financially astute with a track record of improving profitability.
• Excellent organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Understanding of golf operations and customer expectations.
• Marketing and events experience preferred.
• Proficiency with management systems (POS, booking, payroll, etc.) and Microsoft Office.

What you'll get

Salary: £36,000-£38,000 depending on experience
