Join us as our General Manager for the UK and become a central part of building this business. This role will provide a wide range of exciting challenges, from strategic market development to overseeing day-to-day operations and building a high-performing team. No task is too small or too complicated to tackle, and you'll learn alongside a strong founder and investor team.

The need for better solutions for storage has never been bigger – with fewer homes featuring built-in solutions, the demand for affordable, secure, and easily accessible storage alternatives is growing. Our mission is to fill this significant gap, and we need your proactive, hands-on leadership to make it happen in the UK.

About the Role

As the General Manager for the UK, you will be directly involved in driving our market presence, managing operational tasks, and leading our team to ensure the business runs smoothly. You will be responsible for our expansion throughout the UK, where our aim is to be the absolute market leader within 18 months. 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Identifying and acquiring new storage sites for our operations.
  • Overseeing the preparation of new sites, including planning, ground work, building, maintenance, and ensuring they are ready to receive clients.
  • Coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure operations runs smoothly
  • Ensuring excellent customer service.
  • Managing customer relations.
  • Overseeing day-to-day operations.
  • Hiring and developing a high-performing team for rapid growth.

We are looking for someone with

  • 5+ years of experience in a senior leadership or general management role, preferably within a fast-growing, multi-location business.
  • A solid track record in delivering measurable results in business growth and team leadership.
  • Structured, hands-on, and proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
  • Ability to manage a variety of tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners.
  • In-depth knowledge of the UK market and business landscape.

While our current UK operations are centred around the
Manchester–Sheffield region
, the role offers flexibility in base location for the right candidate.

More About Us

Henriksson Storage is headquartered in Stockholm, Sweden, with a dedicated tech department and a marketing team running the e-commerce side of the business, finding and attracting clients. These teams will support you as you run and expand the business in the UK. Henriksson Storage currently owns 15 sites, of which 5 are in the UK and under development. Over the next 12 months we expect to add an additional 30 sites.
