Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Accounts and Finance Assistant role based in Cardiff (CF3). The Accounts and Finance Assistant will handle a range of financial and administrative tasks, including bookkeeping, processing invoices, reconciliation of financial records, and supporting budget preparation. Duties include liaising with internal teams and suppliers, preparing financial reports, ensuring compliance with company and regulatory requirements, and assisting in payroll management and financial audits. The role requires precision, organizational skills, and attention to detail in managing financial transactions and supporting operational efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in bookkeeping, accounting software, and financial reconciliation
  • Experience in payroll processes
  • Experience with accounts payable and accounts receivable management
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Proficient in Xero
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with a high level of accuracy
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for liaising with suppliers and internal teams
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and prioritize tasks efficiently
  • A background in finance, accounting, or a related field (professional qualification is advantageous)
  • A background in the construction industry would be preferred but not essential
