As we continue to grow, we're looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Finance & Accounts Assistant to support our finance and operations team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create and issue customer invoices accurately and promptly

  • Manage and process monthly payroll

  • Submit monthly VAT returns in compliance with HMRC requirements

  • Upload supplier invoices into Xero using Hubdoc

  • Prepare weekly payment schedules for supplier and contractor payments

  • Compile and present monthly management accounts to senior leadership

  • Maintain up-to-date sales statistics and internal performance reports

  • Conduct and publish a monthly stock take

  • Work closely with the Installation Manager to ensure accurate stock records

  • Implement and manage a purchase order system

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • AAT Level 3 qualification or above (or equivalent)

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar finance or accounts role

  • Proficiency with Xero and Hubdoc is essential

  • Strong understanding of payroll, VAT, and UK accounting regulations

  • Excellent skills in Microsoft Excel and general IT literacy

  • Attention to detail with strong time management and organisation

  • Experience preparing management accounts (preferred but not essential)
