What You Will Do
- You will be responsible for supporting the Head of Business Risk Operations in the implementation of the risk frameworks, policies, standards, processes, risk related tooling and support with governance and reporting across the 1st Line Business Teams, working closely with the Business Risk Partnership and Technical Risk Teams to ensure a consistent and embedded approach across the Bank.
- Partner closely with 1st and 2nd Line teams responsible for risk frameworks and standards and co-ordinate the bank's approach & response to ensuring compliance with key risk management policies and standards
- Support the implementation of our programme of RCSA and Controls Assurance activity providing aggregated updates on progress against bank wide implementation plans
- Responsible for supporting the delivery of the Business Risk & Controls Team implementation plan for defined control and testing standards
- Support the Head of Business Risk in developing the Business Risk & Controls teams engagement in change activity to support the timely identification of non-financial risks associated with the delivery and execution of change activity across the bank
- Produce quality risk MI & Insight to support the reporting on the bank's progress in maturing its management of non-financial risk feeding Risk Governance Forums

What You Will Need
- Understand the risks associated with your job and what that means for you, Metro Bank and all our stakeholders
- Proven risk management experience, supporting the ongoing management of non-financial risk including RCSA, issues, incidents, control testing, risk assessments, policy gap analysis and audit action progression
- Good understanding of the Banks Risk Management Frameworks, Policies and Standards
- Proven experience in leading and facilitating risk assessments and deep dive risk reviews and presenting outputs to risk governance committees
- A good understanding of the regulatory environment relating to operational risk and compliance and can keep pace and translate the constantly evolving non-financial risk landscape into consumable actions for the business
- Applied knowledge and understanding the different types of non-financial risk [including Operational, Conduct, Compliance and Financial Crime
