candidates must be able to start work at 8am . We will consider this role part/time or term time only for qualified candidates .CANDIDATES MUST HOLD A VALID EARLY YEARS QUALIFICATION LEVEL 3 PREFERRED

Main responsibilities will include the following:

  • Ensure that all children attending the setting are kept safe and to provide every child with the freedom to connect with nature, take risks and test out their ideas through authentic 'hands on' experiences.
  • Observe, support and extend children learning.
  • Plan appropriately for children using the EYFS framework.
  • Maintain accurate and effective observations, Tracking support sheets, planning and children's Learning Journey.
  • Work in partnership with parents/carers and other family members.
  • Demonstrate good practice with regard to special needs and inclusion.
  • Ensuring that all legislation in relation to special needs, safeguarding and Health and Safety is complied with.

The ideal applicant:

  • Should have a relevant level 3 qualification in Childcare( desirable) although we will consider candidates considering undertaking a qualification with childcare experience.
  • An excellent knowledge of the EYFS and experience of working with children and families would be an advantage.
  • Knowledge of Safeguarding
  • Experience of working in partnership with parents and outside agencies.
  • Must be able to start at 8am and will consider term tome only /part time

This role would suit people with experience in nursery assistant, nursery practitioner, nursery worker and childcare workers roles but experience is not essential.

If you have a childcare qualification then this is desirable but we are willing to accept applications from individuals without a qualification but a desire to develop themselves within this area.

We can access courses, including a Level 3 NVQ, for individuals to complete whilst working. So you can earn a full time wage but also work towards a qualification
