Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Practitioner to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with children. This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to foster a nurturing environment that promotes the development of young learners. As a Nursery Practitioner, you will play a vital role in shaping the early experiences of children, ensuring their safety, well-being, and growth.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality care and education to children aged 0-5 years in accordance with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
- Create engaging and stimulating learning activities that cater to the individual needs of each child.
- Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues to promote a supportive community.
- Maintain accurate records of children's progress and development, ensuring all documentation is up-to-date.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure a safe and clean nursery environment.
- Demonstrate effective management and leadership skills by guiding less experienced staff and supporting their professional development.
- Communicate effectively in English with children, parents, and colleagues to facilitate understanding and engagement.
Experience
- Previous experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting is essential.
- A qualification in Early Childhood Education or equivalent is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated management and leadership experience within an educational or childcare environment would be advantageous.
- Strong communication skills are essential for interacting with children, parents, and staff members effectively.
- A valid driving licence is preferred to facilitate travel between locations if required.
