Job Summary

Swan Meadow are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Qualified Early Years Educator to join our team, at our brand new setting in the centre of Uppermill. Between our sister nurseries we have been open for over 20 years, with over 10 years of being graded Outstanding by Ofsted.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children in our nursery. This role involves engaging with children in various activities that promote their physical, emotional, and social development while ensuring their well-being.

Expected start date 05/01/2026

Duties

  • Supervise and care for children in the nursery setting, ensuring their safety at all times.
  • Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that encourage learning and development.
  • Assist with daily routines such as feeding, changing, and nap times.
  • Maintain a clean and organised environment, including the sanitisation of toys and equipment.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding their child's progress and any concerns.
  • Work collaboratively with other nursery staff to create a positive atmosphere for both children and colleagues.
  • Observe and assess children's development, documenting progress as required.

Qualifications

  • Experience working with children in a nursery or educational setting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to create a safe and nurturing environment
  • Knowledge of child development principles
  • First Aid and CPR certification preferred
  • Patience and adaptability in handling various situations with children
