We're looking for a Senior Nursery Practitioner to join our friendly team — someone passionate about early years education, confident in leading others, and committed to providing the highest standard of care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Nursery Room Leader and Management Team in the day-to-day running of the room and nursery.
  • Lead and model high-quality interactions, planning, and observations in line with the EYFS framework.
  • Ensure all children's individual needs are met and that a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment is maintained.
  • Act as a key person, building strong relationships with children and their families.
  • Support and mentor junior staff, helping to develop their skills and confidence.
  • Contribute to staff meetings, planning sessions, and ongoing nursery improvements.
  • Maintain accurate records, observations, and reports on children's progress.
  • Ensure that safeguarding, health and safety, and all nursery policies and procedures are followed at all times.

Requirements

  • Minimum Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education or equivalent.
  • Sound knowledge of the EYFS, child development, and safeguarding.
  • Experience working within a nursery or early years setting, ideally in a senior or supervisory role.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • A positive, caring, and proactive attitude towards children's learning and wellbeing.
  • Ability to lead by example and support a strong team culture.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £14.20 per hour

Expected hours: 41 per week
