Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Assistant Restaurant Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality and a strong background in restaurant operations. WSET Level 2 preferred, wine knowledge compulsory. This role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth running of our establishment, providing exceptional service to our guests, and supporting the management team in daily operations.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Restaurant Manager in overseeing daily operations to ensure efficiency and high standards of service.
  • Supervise and train staff, fostering a positive team environment and promoting excellent customer service.
  • Manage inventory, including ordering supplies and maintaining stock levels to meet demand.
  • Address customer inquiries and complaints promptly, ensuring satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely food delivery and quality presentation.
  • Help maintain cleanliness and organisation of the restaurant, including dining areas and kitchen facilities.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment is essential, with a focus on team management.
  • Skills in bartending are preferred.
  • WSET Level 2 preferred. Wine knowledge compulsory.
  • Strong supervisory skills with the ability to motivate and lead a diverse team.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to multitask effectively while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen operations is beneficial.
  • A passion for hospitality and delivering exceptional dining experiences.
