Overview

We are seeking a well spoken and genuine, super outgoing professional Host/Host to join our vibrant hospitality team. This role is essential in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our guests, managing reservations, and ensuring smooth seating arrangements. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a warm demeanour, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. Previous experience in a restaurant environment is mandatory, however further training will be provided.

Duties

  • Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements to optimise the flow of the restaurant.
  • Manage reservations and waiting lists efficiently, ensuring guests are informed of wait times.
  • Maintain a clean and organised reception area, ensuring all menus and promotional materials are tidy and presentable.
  • Coordinate with the kitchen and serving staff to ensure timely service and guest satisfaction.
  • Handle guest enquiries politely and professionally, providing information about the menu or restaurant facilities as needed.
  • Assist in setting up tables and clearing them after guests depart, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
  • Support the team during busy periods by performing light serving duties if required.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant service is essential; enthusiasm to learn is also a key.
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and allergen procedures is advantageous.
  • Strong organisational skills with excellent time management abilities to handle busy service periods effectively.
  • Good basic maths skills for handling reservations, bills, and payments accurately.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and confidently with guests and team members.
  • Friendly, approachable demeanour with a genuine passion for providing outstanding customer service.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining professionalism at all times. This position offers an engaging environment within a dynamic team dedicated to delivering memorable dining experiences for all guests.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Freelance

Pay: £30,525.00-£45,000.00 per year

Expected hours: 1 – 50 per week
