The Role

We are seeking an experienced, motivated Sous Chef to join our versatile kitchen team. You'll work closely with the Head Chef to deliver high-quality food across our café and events, lead the team in the Head Chef's absence, and contribute to menu development that showcases seasonal and locally sourced produce.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Head Chef in daily kitchen operations across all areas: café and events
  • Lead, motivate, and train junior kitchen staff
  • Ensure consistent delivery of high-standard dishes for weddings, corporate events, private parties, and day-to-day dining
  • Contribute creatively to menu planning and seasonal specials
  • Maintain excellent food safety, hygiene, and compliance standards
  • Oversee stock control, ordering, and waste management
  • Help foster a positive, collaborative working environment

About You

  • Experience as a Sous Chef or strong Chef de Partie ready to step up
  • Passionate about fresh, local, and seasonal produce
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Calm and organised under pressure, adaptable to different dining formats
  • Creative, proactive, and committed to quality
  • Food hygiene certification (Level 2 or above)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to £36,000.00 per year
