Bakery Manager

Summary:

We're looking for an experienced and passionate Bakery Manager to lead a small team of three bakers (including yourself) in producing high-quality bread, pastries, and desserts. You'll oversee daily production, maintain quality standards, and help develop new products in our busy kitchen.

Please note:

Applicants must be UK residents and live within a reasonable commuting distance of the bakery. Unfortunately, we are unable to offer visa sponsorship for this position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and support a small team of bakers.
  • Oversee production to ensure consistency, quality, and efficiency.
  • Prepare and bake a range of bread, pastries, cakes, and other goods.
  • Maintain compliance with food safety and hygiene standards.
  • Monitor inventory and order ingredients as needed.
  • Operate and maintain baking equipment (ovens, mixers, dough sheeters, etc.).
  • Contribute to recipe development and product innovation.
  • Keep the kitchen clean, organised, and production-ready.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a baker or bakery supervisor (preferred but not essential).
  • Strong knowledge of baking techniques and production processes.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in measuring and timing.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good time management and organisational skills.

Working Hours:

This role is based on four 10-hour shifts per week, with the earliest start time at 5:30 a.m.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
