London, Greater London, United Kingdom Jobs via eFinancialCareers Full time £25,000 - £40,000 per year

We are looking for a proactive, detail-oriented, and organised Finance Coordinator to support our London office with day-to-day financial administration and coordination.

This role will work closely with the Finance team in Copenhagen and provide on-the-ground support to the Managing Director in London, ensuring all local finance requirements are met accurately and on time. You will handle bookkeeping tasks, support month-end processes, assist with payroll, and coordinate with our Middle East finance contacts to ensure accurate and timely reporting.

In addition to UK responsibilities, you will help manage financial administration for our Middle East operations, including communication with local accountants and overseeing payroll. You will also support the upcoming update to our UK payroll process and take on future responsibility for managing payroll end-to-end.

Responsibilities

  • Process and record daily financial transactions in line with company procedures.
  • Assist with month-end closing, including accruals, reconciliations, and follow-ups with management.
  • Coordinate and manage the monthly UK payroll process in collaboration with our external payroll provider, ensuring accuracy and timely submission, and take future responsibility for payroll management.
  • Oversee Middle East payroll for a small team (6–10 employees) and liaise with local accountants to ensure compliance with local regulations.
  • Liaise with external accountants as directed by the CFO.
  • Support VAT and tax submissions, ensuring compliance with UK requirements.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including invoices, receipts, and payments.
  • Assist with budget preparation and provide supporting data for financial reporting.
  • Prepare and update financial reports, statistics, and ad hoc analysis as required.
  • Coordinate with the Finance team in Copenhagen to ensure alignment on processes and standards.
  • Support the implementation of new finance processes or systems.

What We're Looking For

  • 2-5 years' experience in a finance, bookkeeping, or accounts role.
  • Strong bookkeeping skills and familiarity with accounting principles.
  • Experience working with international teams or in a multi-entity organisation, ideally including Middle East operations.
  • Relevant degree and/or professional qualifications.
  • Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office (particularly Excel).
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Professional proficiency in English and Arabic.

Application:
Please upload your CV and cover letter. We will contact you if your profile matches our requirements.

This is a full-time position based out of BIG's London office. Working together and collaborating in the same space is integral to our culture, so all our staff are expected to work from the office every day.

Salary will be subject to experience and qualifications. Relevant applicants will be interviewed on an on-going basis, as we are seeking to fill this vacancy as soon as possible.

Please note that the salary banding for this role falls below the standard salary requirement (referred to in the immigration guidance as the "general threshold") for a Skilled Worker Visa (which is currently £41,700). The standard salary requirements do not apply to all applicants for a Skilled Worker Visa, and there are a range of other immigration routes to the UK which an applicant may be eligible for depending on their personal circumstances.
Diversity has been part of our DNA since BIG's foundation. A multitude of cultures and backgrounds creates a new point of reference which leads to amazing insights. At BIG, we value, celebrate and support diversity because it makes our team, work and the built environment better. We are proud to be an equal opportunity workplace and take affirmative action to employ equally regardless of race, colour, ancestry, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, age, citizenship, marital status, disability, or gender. We are committed to promoting equal opportunities and creating a workplace culture in which diversity and inclusion is valued - if you have any questions about this vacancy (or require any reasonable adjustments to be made to the process due to a disability), please specify this in the designated section of the application form.
