A well-established, mid-sized accountancy practice in Kent is seeking an experienced Audit & Accounts Assistant Manager to join their expanding team. Role Overview

As an Audit & Accounts Assistant Manager, you will play a key role in managing a diverse portfolio of clients across a range of industries. You will support the delivery of audit assignments, review accounts preparation work, oversee junior team members, and contribute to the continued growth of the practice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and deliver audit assignments from planning through to completion
  • Review statutory accounts, management accounts, and tax computations
  • Act as a key point of contact for clients, providing proactive advice and building strong relationships
  • Supervise, mentor, and support junior team members, providing on-the-job training
  • Ensure compliance with auditing and accounting standards, as well as internal processes
  • Assist in growing the firm's client base through excellent service and professional conduct
  • Work closely with senior management to improve processes and contribute to team strategy

Skills & Experience Required

  • ACA/ACCA qualified (or equivalent)
  • Experience within a UK practice environment
  • Strong audit and accounts preparation background
  • Confident in managing client relationships and leading small teams
  • Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to the wider team
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • A proactive approach to problem solving and continuous improvement
