Summary

We are seeking a Finance Manager to join our dynamic team in the heart of Somerset. This role is pivotal in ensuring financial health and strategic planning, contributing directly to our mission of delivering exquisite products to our discerning customers hours a week.

Responsibilities

Strategic & Planning

  • Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial plans.
  • Advise senior management on financial strategy, risk, and growth opportunities.

Management Accounting & Reporting

  • Produce monthly management accounts, cashflow reports, and performance dashboards.
  • Analyse variances against budget/forecast and provide actionable insights.

Financial Control

  • Oversee day-to-day accounting, bookkeeping, bank reconciliations, and payroll.
  • Manage credit control, supplier payments, and cashflow.
  • Ensure strong internal financial controls are in place.

Compliance & Risk

  • Ensure timely filing of VAT, PAYE, corporation tax, and other statutory obligations.
  • Liaise with auditors and external accountants for statutory accounts.
  • Monitor financial risk and compliance with relevant regulations.

Systems & Process

  • Implement and improve finance systems, tools, and reporting processes.
  • Drive efficiency and accuracy in financial operations.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Finance Manager or similar role in a retail or luxury goods environment.
  • Strong knowledge of financial management principles and practices.
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate.
  • Proficiency in financial accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly.
  • Experience in cost control strategies is preferred.
