We are an established, family-run Italian restaurant in the heart of Brighton, dedicated to delivering authentic, high-quality food and warm, genuine hospitality. We are looking for a hands-on, experienced, and hard-working Restaurant Manager to lead our team with passion and purpose.

The right candidate will not only bring strong leadership and hospitality experience, but also a deep appreciation for Italian cuisine and culture. You'll be responsible for the day-to-day running of the restaurant, inspiring and managing a close-knit team all working toward the same mission: providing outstanding service and memorable dining experiences for our customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the smooth and efficient daily operation of the restaurant
  • Lead, support, and motivate a team of front and back-of-house staff with professionalism and care
  • Maintain high standards of food quality, hygiene, and customer service in every aspect of the restaurant
  • Work closely with the Head Chef to ensure food quality of of the highest standard
  • Take an active role in service, setting the tone on the floor and leading by example
  • Manage stock, supplier relationships, and inventory efficiently
  • Handle bookings, guest enquiries, and any complaints with warmth and professionalism
  • Ensure compliance with all food safety and licensing regulations
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, and training of new team members
  • Monitor and drive performance, encouraging a team culture of responsibility and shared goals
  • Contribute to marketing and local outreach efforts to grow the restaurant's reputation and reach

What We're Looking For

  • Proven experience in restaurant or hospitality management
  • A natural leader who can bring out the best in their team
  • Passionate about food, service, and creating exceptional guest experiences
  • Strong knowledge of food safety
  • Comfortable managing rotas, stock, suppliers, and restaurant admin
  • Personable, approachable, and confident on the floor
  • Able to remain calm under pressure and make decisions in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be flexible, reliable, and committed to working evenings and weekends
