STEM Academic Mentor | Redbridge | September Start

Are you a STEM Academic Mentor eager to inspire the next generation of scientists, engineers, and mathematicians? As a STEM Academic Mentor, your responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering 1:1 and small group support sessions with high-achieving pupils.

  • Helping students secure top grades (9s at GCSE and A* at A-Level).

  • Planning and creating engaging resources tailored to learner needs.

  • Ensuring pupils develop strong exam technique and subject confidence.

  • Supporting the wider school community as part of the STEM department.

Essential requirements for the STEM Academic Mentor role:

  • A 1:1 STEM degree from a top 10 UK University.

  • A*/A grades in STEM subjects at A-Level.

  • Strong communication and organisational skills.

  • A genuine desire to pursue Teacher Training or Psychology.

  • Proactive, dedicated, and collaborative approach.

  • Previous tutoring or child-based experience desirable.

This STEM Academic Mentor position in Redbridge is a full-time, term-time only role starting in September for one academic year. It offers hands-on classroom experience, excellent training, and the perfect springboard into a career in teaching.
