Maths Teaching Assistant – Redbridge (Secondary School, KS3–KS5 Support)

Are you a Maths graduate with a strong academic background, keen to gain school-based experience before pursuing a career in teaching or education? We are currently recruiting for a Maths Teaching Assistant – Redbridge role in a high-achieving secondary school, where you will support pupils across KS3–KS5.

As a Maths Teaching Assistant – Redbridge, you will work closely with outstanding Maths teachers, supporting pupils in lessons, delivering targeted interventions, and providing one-to-one or small group support. This is an ideal role for aspiring Maths teachers, educational psychologists, or graduates considering a PGCE/Schools Direct route.

What We're Looking For in a Maths Teaching Assistant – Redbridge:

  • A 2:1 or higher degree in Maths or a related subject (Engineering, Economics, Physics etc.)

  • Minimum grade A at A-Level Maths (or equivalent)

  • Strong subject knowledge and the ability to explain concepts clearly

  • Previous experience with young people (tutoring, mentoring, teaching assistant work or volunteering is highly valued)

  • Excellent communication skills, patience and a genuine passion for education

The Maths Teaching Assistant – Redbridge role will see you helping pupils to boost their confidence in Maths, guiding them through challenging concepts, and supporting them to achieve outstanding results. Working closely with teachers and SEN specialists, you will gain invaluable experience that will strengthen your future applications for teaching or postgraduate study.
