Job Description:

As a Health & Social Care Lecturer, you will deliver engaging and informative lessons, equipping students with the knowledge and practical skills required for careers in healthcare, social services, and community support. You will support students' academic development, ensure high-quality teaching, and integrate real-world scenarios into the curriculum.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver well-structured and engaging lectures in Health & Social Care, covering topics such as Safeguarding, Public Health, Health Promotion, Social Policy, and Care Planning.
  • Design and assess coursework, assignments, and exams to evaluate student progress.
  • Provide academic support, mentoring, and guidance to students.
  • Integrate real-world case studies and industry practices into teaching.
  • Stay updated with industry regulations, policies, and best practices in health and social care.
  • Work collaboratively with faculty members to improve course content and teaching strategies.
  • Participate in faculty meetings, student activities, and academic events.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred) in Health & Social Care, Nursing, Public Health, Social Work, or a related field.
  • Teaching experience in higher education or significant industry experience in health and social care.
  • Strong knowledge of UK healthcare policies, social care frameworks, and safeguarding regulations.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to use learning management systems (LMS) and online teaching platforms.
  • Passion for student development and a student-focused approach to teaching.
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to meet assessment deadlines.
