Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Team Leader to oversee daily operations within our local high street pub. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive culinary and restaurant experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional service. This role involves supervising staff, ensuring food safety standards, and maintaining high-quality food production. The successful applicant will play a key role in fostering a positive team atmosphere and ensuring customer satisfaction through effective management and operational excellence.

Duties

  • Lead and supervise a team of kitchen and service staff to ensure smooth daily operations
  • Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to meet quality standards
  • Manage food safety protocols in accordance with industry regulations and company policies
  • Coordinate food production schedules and ensure timely delivery of orders
  • Provide training and support to team members on culinary techniques, service standards, and safety procedures
  • Monitor staff performance, provide constructive feedback, and promote a collaborative team environment
  • Assist in organising staffing rotas and managing labour resources efficiently
  • Ensure cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen and service areas at all times
  • Uphold hospitality standards by delivering excellent customer service and resolving any issues promptly
  • Maintain compliance with health regulations, food safety standards, and company policies

Experience

  • Proven supervising experience within a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality setting
  • Extensive background in food preparation, cooking, and food production
  • Familiarity with kitchen operations, food safety regulations, and culinary techniques
  • Experience in managing teams within fast-paced environments such as restaurants or hotels
  • Knowledge of serving procedures, hospitality practices, and barista experience is advantageous
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and foster a positive working environment
  • Previous experience in food safety management or related certifications is desirable

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From £12.50 per hour

Expected hours: 25 – 35 per week
