Salary: £32,000 – £36,000 per annum (dependent on experience and qualifications)

Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Shifts: Rota-based (including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins)

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day care, guidance, and support to children in a residential setting
  • Support the Registered Manager in the daily running of the home
  • Lead and mentor a team of Support Workers to ensure high-quality care
  • Develop and implement care plans tailored to individual needs
  • Promote a safe, nurturing, and positive environment for children
  • Ensure all safeguarding and child protection procedures are followed
  • Participate in regular supervision, training, and team meetings
  • Maintain accurate records and reports as required

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience working in a residential childcare setting
  • NVQ Level 3 in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) – essential
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding, behaviour management, and trauma-informed care
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and sleep-in duties
  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undergo one)
  • Full UK driving licence – desirable
