Job Title: Deputy Children's Home Manager
Location: Birmingham
Basic Salary: £32-37k (depending on experience and qualifications)
Additional Bonuses: Up to £3000 per annum on top in performance-based bonuses
Hours: Full time, up to 40 hours per week

You would be joining a new and fit for purpose 2-bedded home in Cradley Heath with a spectacular garden for summer festivities The Registered Manager is incredibly experienced and has a great track record for outcomes for children, having been described by Ofsted as 'diligent' and 'passionate'. There will be plenty of opportunity to learn, develop and grow as a practitioner within this exceptional home.

Our Package and Benefits:
Basic pay: £32,000-37,000 (depending on experience and qualifications),
Estimated package: Earn up to £40,000 per annum,(calculated for the purpose of estimation – you may take more or less depending on the needs of the home).

The Role:
As a Deputy Children's Home Manager, you will play a vital role in delivering outstanding care, ensuring the smooth operation of the home and the staff team. Your key responsibilities will include:
Leadership & Mentorship: Supervise, support and mentor staff members, conduct appraisals, supervisions, and ensure high-quality care delivery in line with Quality Standards.
Care Planning, Meetings and Reviews: Develop and review personalized care plans, risk assessments, and behaviour support plans to meet the needs and goals of each child. Attend and engage in LAC, EHCP, PEP and Pathway Plan meetings and reviews where necessary.
Safeguarding & Compliance: Maintain strict adherence to safeguarding policies and support the Registered Manager to comply with Ofsted regulations and Quality Standards.
On-Call: Understand your part to play in keeping the young people and staff safe outside of management hours – will be on a rota basis and agreed with the Registered Manager in advance where possible.
Administration: Conduct regular health and safety checks, oversee medication administration, complete rotas, oversee finances, and take part in the recruitment and induction process for new staff members.
Communication: Build strong relationships with children, families, and external agencies to ensure unrivalled holistic care for young people.
Key Requirements:
Level 3 or 4 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
Experience leading a team within a Children's home setting.
Strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
A full UK driving license (preferred but not essential).
Commitment to the safety, well-being, and development of children.
A drive to achieve positive outcomes for young people and with Ofsted inspections.
