Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to individuals in their homes or care homes. This position requires strong communication skills, the ability to follow care plans, and a commitment to enhancing the well-being of our clients.

Duties

  • Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management.
  • Support clients in maintaining their independence and dignity while encouraging social interaction and engagement.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Drive clients to appointments or social activities as needed, ensuring their safety during transport.
  • Follow individual care plans meticulously while adapting to the changing needs of clients.
  • Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in client condition to the appropriate personnel.
  • Utilise IT systems for documentation and communication purposes effectively.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in home care or a care home setting is preferred but not essential.
  • Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
  • Familiarity with creating and following care plans is beneficial.
  • A caring attitude with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts as required by client needs.
