About the Role?

HTG-UK is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Finance Assistant to join our growing team. This is a hands-on role supporting finance operations, with a focus on supplier management, invoice processing, and station-level spend tracking.

You'll gain real-world experience while completing a fully funded Assistant Accountant Apprenticeship (Level 2 or 3), with clear progression routes and full organisational support.

Contracted Hours, Salaries:

• Salary: £26,000–£28,000 per annum
• Contract: Full-time, permanent
• Location: Hybrid – Office based in Wath upon Dearne
• Hours: 37.5 per week, Monday to Friday
• Training: Assistant Accountant Apprenticeship (Level 2 or 3)
• Progression: Clear route to Level 6 Accounting Finance Manager qualification

What You'll Be Doing

• · Process orders for station consumables and uniforms
• · Track and report station-level expenditure
• · Liaise with suppliers, check statements, and resolve queries
• · Set up new suppliers and route invoices for approval
• · Assist with purchase orders, sales invoices, and month-end reconciliations
• · Maintain accurate financial records using HTG-UK systems
• · Contribute to continuous improvement of finance procedures
• · Support ad hoc finance tasks as required

What We're Looking For

• · Previous experience in a finance or accounting role/environment
• · Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
• · Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
• · Confident communicator, comfortable with suppliers and internal teams
• · Willingness to learn and complete structured training
• · Familiarity with finance systems or Excel (preferred)
