Job Description:

What are we looking for?
  • 10+ years experience within the area of Corporate Affairs or Communications.
  • Preference for prior CPG industry experience.
  • Experience in a global matrix organisation & managing relationships with global / regional LTs.
What will be your key responsibilities?

Global Public Affairs 

  • Develop and lead Pet Nutrition's global public affairs strategy in close collaboration with global stakeholders to support business growth, protect license to operate, and strengthen corporate reputation. 
  • Build strong relationships with government stakeholders, regulators, NGOs, and trade associations across priority markets. 
  • Monitor and shape policy, regulatory, and legislative developments impacting the pet food category, sustainability, and broader food industry. 
  • Partner with global and regional business leaders to ensure alignment of public affairs priorities with business objectives. 
  • Lead issues and crisis management efforts related to regulatory, reputational, and social impact topics. 
  • Provide counsel to senior leadership on geopolitical, regulatory, and reputational risks and opportunities. 
  • Influence, support, and upskill high-performing public affairs experts around the world.

Rapid Growth Markets Corporate Affairs 

  • Full accountability for the Corporate Affairs function across Pet Nutrition in Rapid Growth Markets (Brazil, Mexico, India, Southeast Asia, South Latin America), setting the CA strategy in line with global Pet Nutrition priorities and Mars, Inc strategies, operationally leading the team across multiple countries. 
  • Develop, coach, and support Corporate Affairs talent across Rapid Growth Markets to ensure high performing team performance.
  • Close partnership with Rapid Growth Markets leadership and GMs to provide counsel and support on all Corporate Affairs matters.
