Are you looking for a new challenge, working within a thriving business where culture and well-being are high on the agenda? A company driving innovation in the technical advances in renewable energy sources are looking to add a Director of Public Affairsto their Senior Leadership Team.

This is a newly created pivotal role that will lead a dedicated Public Affairs function within the company. You will help to form and deliver the company strategy and business plans, working closely with the SLT.

This role can be fully remote with an expectation for regular travel to London for external meetings, and to Truro for internal meetings.

**Director of Public Affairs responsibilities include: -**
- Manage the company’s public affairs, policy and advocacy activities in the UK to foster the vision and promote the creation of impactful opportunities for product development and deployment within the UK.
- Devise, develop and coordinate the company’s interests with Key stakeholders and open doors for the senior leadership team, advocates and Influencers.
- Coordinate, frame and direct the efforts of the teams within the context of the policy and public affairs strategy.
- Coordinate regular interaction with government officials, advisors, MPs, think tanks, NGOs, academia, senior industry leaders, and other key influencers, to keep them informed of the Company’s policy and key regulatory position in the different areas, ensuringthe leadership team in informed of upcoming changes and that they create an optimum trading environment for the group.

**Director of Public Affairs requirements include: -**
- Demonstrated success in Public Affairs preferably within the Government and public services sector.
- Qualifications in the following fields would be advantageous - English, Business, Public Affairs, Politics, Economics or Marketing
- Powerful communicator - listening, influence, negotiation, persuasion, public speaking and counsel skills
- Strong collegiate style, able to embrace and build effective relationships and collaborations.
- Previous experience working for an ambitious, fast-growing organisation with a culture that emphasizes personal delivery to support the wider vision
