Accounts Administrator

Location: Crawley, West Sussex

Salary: £30,000 per annum (depending on experience)

Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday Hrs - 9:00am to 5:30pm (1 hour lunch)

We're looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Accounts Administrator to join our friendly finance team at Vines Group, a trusted BMW & MINI retailer with three sites across the South of England.

In this varied role, you'll help keep our financial operations running smoothly by maintaining accurate records, processing transactions, and supporting key month-end activities. You'll take ownership of the Purchase Ledger, assist with credit control, and play a key role in reconciliations, reporting, and audit preparation. Working as part of a 10-person finance team, you'll have the opportunity to make a real impact while supporting continuous improvement across the group.

• Be the go-to person for processing daily bank statements, making sure every transaction is spot-on across all ledgers.
• Keep our numbers in check by reconciling cash, card, and cheque payments — accuracy is your superpower
• Take pride in processing supplier invoices, purchase orders, and credit card statements with precision and care.
• Build great working relationships as you reconcile supplier statements and sort out any queries along the way.
• Stay on top of payment runs, ensuring suppliers are paid accurately and on time.
• Fully own the Purchase Ledger — this is your domain, and you'll make sure it runs like clockwork.
• Play a key role at month-end, supporting reconciliations, reports, and audit prep to keep everything running smoothly.
• Support credit control by helping to maintain a healthy, balanced cash flow.
• Collaborate with our Sales and Service teams to quickly resolve any finance-related questions.
• Share your ideas Help us streamline processes and support your teammates when needed.

• Solid experience in accounts or finance administration, ideally in the motor trade or retail sector.
• A confident grasp of double-entry bookkeeping and ledger management.
• Strong IT skills — especially Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Experience using systems like Kerridge, CDK Drive, or Pinnacle (bonus points if you know your way around them).
• An eye for detail that doesn't miss a thing — even when things get busy.
