The Role

The Relationship Management team works with the largest Clearpay merchants to grow their business using the power of Clearpay. This team of relationship managers partners with product, sales and marketing teams to understand the challenges and opportunities for our merchants and meet their needs with the Clearpay product.

We are looking for a UK Relationship Manager to manage some of Clearpay's most valuable merchant relationships. Reporting into the Head of Relationship Management, you will work to better understand the unique challenges and opportunities for relationship management in the UK and help promote long-term success for existing merchants with Clearpay.

You Will

  • Grow and retain a multi-million GPV portfolio of UK merchants and lead the development and analysis of portfolio performance
  • Understand merchant needs, and local market trends, to ensure Relationship Management is delivering remarkable solutions to our merchants
  • Cross-sell and upsell products and features through discovery, education and product onboarding support
  • Use Clearpay's value propositions to negotiate renewals and execute our multi-year account plans with strategic partners.
  • Deliver a tiered engagement contact strategy at scale to drive merchant usage, satisfaction, and revenue growth
  • Work with our Sales, Support and Product teams to help uncover and surface product insights. Champion Merchant advocacy within Afterpay, promoting collaboration across Sales, Marketing, Product, Legal, Risk, and Operations to ensure our product continues to evolve and exceed expectations.
  • Collaborate with the Relationship Management team globally by sharing merchant insights, recommendations, operational needs and growth opportunities

You Have

  • 2–3+ years' experience growing partners in a client-facing Sales, Account Management, or Customer Success role (with expectations increasing at higher levels).
  • Proven relationship management skills with the ability to influence across all partners to manage a portfolio to achieve OKRs
  • Experience discovering and closing sales opportunities and building client relationships
  • Experience exceeding revenue goals
  • Interest in business operations and strategy
  • Strategic thinking with the ability to connect day-to-day execution to long-term vision and plans that increase sustainable growth.
  • Experience advocating for your own needs and communicating proactively
  • Passion and knowledge about ecommerce and payment solutions
  • Experience with Salesforce or other CRM tools ABA/BS or relevant experience
